On the 23rd November 2017 at the Miatta conference hall. Different personalities, institutions and countries were given awards of recognition and motivation for their activities which were geared towards improving the climate change and environmental issues. Guest of honor was his Excellency the president of the republic of Sierra Leone – Dr Ernest Bai Koroma who received the award of Environmental lifetime leadership award. The adviser to the president – HENRY SERRY KAMARA represented the guest of honor and received the award on his behalf. The BRITISH high commissioner was on hand to receive the award on behalf of the QUEEN and the UNITED KINGDOM, The EUROPEAN UNION received the climate change pioneer leadership organization of the year award, The United States embassy received the climate change humanitarian award on behalf of the US government. They also received on behalf of the US former president Barack Obama the climate change pioneers leadership award. The Nigerian High Commission received the climate change humanitarian country award on behalf of the Federal government of Nigerian and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo; former president of the Federal Republic of Nigerian. The German, Chinese, Guinean, Ghanaian and Liberian embassy also received awards on behalf of their governments. The Ghanian High commission also received the Climate Change Pioneers leadership award on behalf of the former UN secretary General Kofi Anna. THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, SIERRA LEONE POLICE, NRA, MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, FREETOWN CITY COUNCIL, FAO, KOIDU MINING, SALWACO, NaCSA, IOM, Mano River Union, THE CEO of GTbank SL ltd, African Young Voices (AYV), ZENITH BANK, ROKEL COMMERCIAL BANK SL, SCADEP International Construction Company (ICC), GENTO GROUP, International Insurance company (IIC), G.SHAKEDERS AND SONS LTD, , IFAD project coordinator, PROPRIETRESS CITIGLOBE PHARMACY, MADAM YEAMA SARAH THOMPSON, PATRICK KOROMA, EASTERN ARTIST UNION , etc… were also present to receive their awards.
